Studio Ghibli films have been awarded and multi-awarded around the world, and clear proof of this is the fact that many of these productions have won the Animage Anime Grand Prix award, in addition to the fact that five of them have managed to win. of the Japanese Academy of Animation Award.

Likewise, six films from the studio have been nominated for an Oscar, with Spirited Away winning in 2003 and The Boy and the Heron in 2024. In addition, multiple Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations can also be found within from Studio Ghibli's history.







Due to all the contributions of the Japanese studio to the world of animation, and to the world of cinema in general, within the framework of the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, this Monday, May 20, a ceremony was held in honor of Studio Ghibli, to celebrate and honor everything that this talented team has done over four decades.
